Vertigo

‘These are women's bodies, not nudes (the traditional nude, that of Velázquez or Goya, Courbet or Manet, Cézanne's bather, Seurat's model, the lover model so often depicted by Picasso). Camilla Adami's paintings, on the other hand, are the opposite, they are set in the land of discovery, a work on the body that liberates the body.
A woman's body in space, facing the forces or elements that bind it and make it grow, lift it and knead it, as in that incestuous and sacred mixture of water and earth called limo in the Bible, and mud today.
The body in the painting and the painting of the body are attached, revealed, contaminated by the viscosity of this unpredictable partner who, threatening to confuse and absorb them, ends up exalting the signs and sparks of its power to be in the world.
